We are proud to be part of the creation and implementation of BISNet.Along with our partners in the 1890 Land-Grant Colleges and Universities, we are able to offer this new service as well as other vital services to assist business owners to develop and grow. These businesses can provide economic stability in communities and enhance the wealth-building opportunities for their owners and investors. This helps meet our objective of using our resources to enhance the lives of rural Americans.

Since October 1994, Rural Business-Cooperative Service and the 1890 Land-Grant Colleges and Universities have embarked upon a new partnership; it is one that is action oriented. We are designing and implementing new programs and accomplishing productive and outstanding results. Together, we are laying the foundation for the building of successful businesses in rural communities. We are developing strategies for expanding entrepreneurial opportunities in rural communities and using the 1890s as the catalyst for this transfer. This, however, is just the beginning. We have much more planned and still more ideas on the drawing board for the future.

Today, we are faced with unique and important challenges. We are proud and excited to be an active and contributing partner to a process which is changing the economics of entire communities and improving the lives of rural Americans.

Thank you
